A Zero Balance Account (ZBA) is a banking system where multiple accounts are linked to a master account, with funds automatically swept in or out to maintain a zero balance in the linked accounts at the end of each day.
The purpose of a ZBA account is to centralize cash flow and improve cash management for businesses, especially those with multiple locations or departments.
User View (Dashboard)
ZBA accounts are not visible in the Dashboard (unlike ICS accounts). They are designed to maintain a zero balance by automatically transferring funds to and from a master account to cover a specific business expense.
Transactability:
When making an internal transfer, the user will be able to see the available + the sweep balance. Making a transfer exceeding the available balance on the account, will result in a negative balance, which will be brought back to zero once the balance sweep occurs (at midnight).
